Friendship Community Project is seeking donations to support our  Iowa City adult English language classes.  Our most urgent need at the moment is funding to help defray the cost to Good News Bible Church of paper products, hand soap, electricity/heat, janitorial services and other incidentals  needed because of our English classes meeting in the church classrooms.  We  need funds to retain qualified English teachers for our students and director for our program. We have an ongoing need for toner cartridges (Brother TN660 high-yield) for our copy machine and more copies of textbooks as well.

We are a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit.

Checks can be made out to Friendship Community Project.  Our address is 3223 Shamrock Dr. Iowa City, IA 52245.  Or use this link to our Fall, 2016 GoFundMe fund drive, which is still active.  Please donate or share if you can:

We also have a periodic need of new instructors and substitute instructors with a background in teaching and English or languages. Please email us at if you are interested in helping in this way.

A big thank you to the Iowa City Community School District for partnering with us to bring English language classes to adult family members of children in the Iowa City school district at Grant Wood and the Coralville Library!

We wish to extend our heartfelt thank you to Community Foundation of Johnson County, Hills Bank and Trust Company and University of Iowa Community Credit Union for their financial support of Friendship Community Project!

Thank you to our individual donors, past and present. Donors this academic year are listed in our Spring, 2017 newsletter.
