Fall ’20 Online Classes Only

We are now registering for online classes only for Fall, 2020.  Classes will begin the week of September 8th, but times will vary.  We are offering beginning, intermediate and advanced classes.  To register and take a short placement test, click on this link:  https://forms.gle/39Y4XscD6Xt39J3EA .  We are also planning online conversation groups.  If you have questions or want more information, contact Susan at info@fcp-iowa.org.

To participate in our online classes, you can use a smart phone or a computer.  We are using Google Meet.

Fall 2020 English Classes-Online!

Friendship Community Project’s free, adult English classes will be online only this fall for the safety of our staff and students during the coronavirus pandemic.

We have several teachers preparing to teach classes using Google Meet. Students can use a computer or a smart phone to attend classes.  If you or anyone you know would like to attend one of these online classes, please e-mail me at info@fcp-iowa.org. Corona Announcements March 16th

Dear Students and Volunteers:  FCP English classes and conversation groups are cancelled until the virus is under control.  We will let you know this week about the video classes we are working on for you, available through your cellphone or laptop.  You can email me at  sprepejchal@fcp-iowa.org if you have any questions or need translations of information.  Susan


The virus is now spreading in the Iowa City area.  Please stay at home as much as you can, don’t get close to other people, and wash your hands constantly.  I am posting announcements about the virus on our Friendship Community Project Facebook page. Paste them into Google Translate if you can’t read the English or ask me to do it. Like our Facebook page so you get these announcements in your Facebook news feed.  These are some I sent out this week:
